Work is progressing well at The Lake House, a truly special one-off home set within one of Hampshire’s most picturesque landscapes, just north of the A303 and close to the world-renowned River Test.
Unlike many of our developments, The Lake House is a bespoke build contract for a single private residence. The project demonstrates the same attention to detail and quality that we like to bring to every scheme, regardless of scale.
From the moment work began, it was clear this would be an exceptional place to build. Surrounded by mature countryside and enjoying a peaceful waterside setting, the site offers the kind of natural environment we are proud to have here in the UK. The nearby River Test, one of the world’s finest chalk streams, is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, thriving trout population and exceptional biodiversity.
The wildlife has been one of the highlights of the project. Throughout construction our team has been fortunate enough to regularly encounter kingfishers darting along the watercourses, trout visible in the clear waters and a wide variety of native birds and wildlife that call this beautiful landscape home. It serves as a daily reminder of the importance of building responsibly within sensitive rural environments.
As the structure continues to take shape, The Lake House is already beginning to showcase the quality and craftsmanship that will define the finished home. Careful planning, skilled construction and an outstanding location will combine to create a property that sits comfortably within its surroundings while making the most of the spectacular views across the Hampshire countryside.
