The excitement is building for the upcoming World Cup, and here at Rivendale Developments we’ve added a little extra competition to the tournament with our very own company sweepstake.
On Thursday afternoon we held our World Cup draw, with colleagues across our sites, office and remote staff all getting involved. Three teams were drawn for each participant, with everyone guaranteed at least one of the tournament’s top teams.
Although we forgot to capture a team photo during the draw, the excitement (and a bit of friendly rivalry!) was certainly there as everyone found out which teams they would be supporting.
A special mention goes to Brady from our sister company Qwickhose, who picked up England in the draw — no pressure Brady, we’ll all be watching the Three Lions very closely!
Our Finance Manager Ruth, off Scottish heritage was hoping for the chance to cheer on her home nation — but unfortunately Scotland didn’t land her way. Instead, Ken picked them up – the sweepstake draw knows no loyalties.
With the money safely collected and the wall chart ready, the countdown is officially on. It’s all a bit of fun, but events like this are a great way for everyone across Rivendale Developments — whether office-based, on-site or working remotely — to get involved and enjoy some team spirit together.
