Helping provide better Housing for local people in need

Local at-risk households will soon have access to temporary accommodation at Bampton House, as Rivendale are converting the former British Gas offices in Chandlers Ford into flats on behalf of Eastleigh Borough Council.

Rivendale gained the planning to convert the two storey building into thirteen one and two bed self-contained accommodations with associated bike and bin stores.

Not only will this scheme provide vulnerable people and families with stability and a steppingstone to a permanent home, but it will also allow them to remain in the area close to their support network.  Furthermore, it will reduce the Council’s expenditure on emergency accommodation which may be outside the Borough whilst providing a more appropriate, homely environment than a B&B or a hotel.

The area has excellent bus and train transport links, a lively well provisioned high street and a varied selection of local restaurants and takeaways.

Rivendale are pleased to be involved in a scheme that benefits the most vulnerable in the Borough whilst repurposing an unused commercial property emphasises our commitment to sustainable building.

Work is now in the final stages, we will hand the property back to Eastleigh Borough Council in due course ready for Bampton House to receive its first residents.
