Royal Ascot Saturday Race Day dawned with brilliant blue sky and sunshine when the team from Rivendale Developments gathered for a Day at the Races. The ladies looked resplendent in posh frocks and flamboyant hats and fascinators whilst the gentlemen donned smart suits and ties.
The team enjoyed limited success at the bookies but there was lively discussion on form and jockeys like we really knew what we were talking about. Whilst some of us cheered our preferred mount from the rails others shouted enthusiastically at the live streams to encourage a favourite or berate a “three legged donkey”.
It was agreed that it was a fantastic day and a rare opportunity to dress up and enjoy part of the English Summer Season.
Royal Ascot really is still indeed a very special event.
